Accessibility
TypingWhiz targets WCAG 2.2 AA conformance for public content and lesson interfaces.
Keyboard operation
Every page is fully operable with a keyboard. Skip-to-content is the first focusable element on load. Focus indicators are visible on every interactive element. Dialog modals trap focus and close on Escape.
Screen readers
Metrics during typing activities are announced via aria-live="polite". Form inputs have explicit labels. Errors are announced via role="alert". The typing passage is marked read-only to prevent screen reader interference.
Reduced motion
When your system preference is set to reduce motion, animations are disabled globally via CSS. Falling Words switches to a list-based interface with progress bars. Games remain fully playable but do not animate.
Theme and contrast
Light and dark themes both meet contrast requirements for text and interactive elements. System preference is respected by default; explicit override is available in the header.
